How You Can Help

Making monetary and non-monetary donations

IRIS relies on the generosity of community members to make our programs a success.  Federal grants which fund the work of IRIS are awarded based on a certain level of volunteer work. We encourage you to support our programs. To make a monetary donation to IRIS, please print this donation form and send along with your check to the address on the form.

Providing tours of local businesses or interesting historical areas
Hosting a dinner or luncheon
Inviting international guests to speak before groups in which you are involved
Speaking to guests about your business or special interests
Providing transportation
Serving as a language partner
Serving as a home host or business mentor
  Student Volunteers
Working with the YES program:
Help with student Drama
Make guidelines every month for students' essay contest
Calling students to check up on them and taking them to do fun things
Helping students locate service learning/mentoring opportunities
Research and support on new programs

Public Relations:

Explore relationships with ISU community

Create interest in our programs

Recruit student volunteers
